Terrence Howard runs out of words

Lost for words: The actor decided to memorise his speech instead of reading it off the teleprompter, but his mind went blank
Howard lost of words.

Terrence Howard had a very awkward moment at the 2015 Academy Awards, as he forgot his speech while introducing Whiplash and The Imitation Game.
And speaking about the embarrassing moment on Monday's episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the actor admitted he got distracted by Oprah Winfrey, two years after making comments about her 'tig ol' bitties'.
Terrence said he spotted the former talk show host in the audience on stage at the Oscars and immediately flubbed his lines - which he had decided to learn from heart instead of reading from the teleprompter.
Recalling the incident, the 45-year-old said: 'I'm at the Academy Awards. I mean, I got Meryl Streep, I got all these dope, the best actors in the world, and they're up there reading [from] the teleprompter.
I was like, "Man, I can memorise that!" So everybody that went up there, I'm clowning them. I’m clowning, I'm talking to my wife, "Look at this, man, I can do better than that, wait until I go up there! Watch this, watch till I go up there!"'
Terrence added that he also had to try to avoid a wardrobe malfunction, as Jimmy laughed away at his recollection of the February 22 ceremony.
'I walk out there and, um, first and foremost, I forgot to wear a belt that day. So, I’m pulling it up, I’m like, ‘It’s OK, my stomach will hold it up,' he explained.
'I get out there and I’m breathing and I got this memorised, I've worked 18 hours to work this out, I'm about to kill it. I get out there… there's Oprah! "Hi Oprah… Oh, oh, read the lines, read the lines."
'I try to look up and I’m like, "No, I worked on this, I’m not going to read the prompter, I’m going to say it from heart." I choked!'
