Plenty of people cheat on their spouses and throw public fits, so
why are we so interested when celebrities do it?
One hypothesis is that
our obsession with celebrity scandal comes from the halo effect.
Research shows that when a person shows unusual talent in one area of
life, we tend to believe that extends to all areas of life. This
propensity to hold celebrities to a higher moral standard makes their
flaws even more scandalous.
But
in a town where there's no such thing as bad press, flaws aren't
necessarily a negative. In fact, scandals can actually boost a
celebrity's popularity; controversy can sell. I am also reminded of my lecturer's saying...if it bleeds it leads. So people really like to read about celebs when they are at their downs.

Bruce Jenner tells it all
Bruce Jenner says his tell-all interview with Diane Sawyer was "tough".
The 65-year-old reality star has recorded a two-hour chat with the veteran broadcaster and reportedly broke down in tears on several occasions as he discussed his decision to transition to a woman and the impact it has had on his family.
According to the HollywoodLife.com sources: "There are many occasions where Bruce breaks down and cries talking about his family and his transition. It's was a tough interview for Bruce to get through.''
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star found speaking out difficult, but was put at ease by the ABC News anchor.
The source added: "Diane is one of the best interviewers on television and did a great job of getting Bruce to open up emotionally, which made for some amazing TV.
"When they do promos for the show, fans will get a glimpse of all the emotion as some of the crying will be used."
It was announced earlier this week that the interview will air as a 20/20 special on 24 April.
Insiders say the interview will see Bruce open up about why he waited until now to make the decision to transition and confirm the name he plans to use when the process is completeA source said: "Bruce is going to reveal all of his struggles into transition and why it took so long for him to do it in the first place.
"It's also going to go way into how the family feels about it and what measures he is taking to complete the process.
"He is also going to reveal the name he will be using when he fully transitions." http://www.channel24.co.za/Gossip/News/Bruce-Jenner-struggled-to-hide-his-tears-during-his-interview-with-Diane-Sawyer-20150409

Lil Wayne still on cash money records
"We gave them until [Monday], April 6th to file an answer," Sweeney says. "[Cash Money] said they were going to challenge the venue, so at that point, it was a waste of time and money, so we all agreed that we would dismiss the action [in New York] and Wayne and [his record label] Young Money would re-file in New Orleans."
"Lil Wayne and Young Money LLC have entered into a stipulation with Cash Money the effect of which is to transfer the claims raised in the action which had been commenced in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York to the Federal and/or State Courts of Louisiana," the rapper's legal team added in a statement to Rolling Stone.
"The claims previously asserted by Lil Wayne and Young Money LLC against Cash Money for substantial monies owed and breach of fiduciary duty have not been settled and will be prosecuted in Louisiana as expeditiously as possible," added his team.

Expect royal baby number 2 by the end of April
Prince William and his wife Kate |
Talking about 'going ons' in the life of celebrities is something habitual. You will agree with me that almost every one wants to be kept updated about the life of their role models. Some fans even to an extent of copying the lifestyles of their celebrity stars. Now listen to this one!
Probably this is the last time you will see Duchess Kate before the birth of royal baby no 2.
Britain's Prince William and his wife Kate visited a charity in London on Friday on what media said would be her last public engagement before she gives birth.
The Duchess of Cambridge, who is around eight months pregnant, is already mother to one-year-old Prince George, the third in line to the throne.
When asked when it's due she said end of April.
There are rumors that William said number one is a life change and number two is a game changer."
Royal officials announced that Kate was pregnant with her second child in September but have remained tight-lipped about the due date for the baby and have not said if it will be a boy or a girl.
On Friday, William and Kate visited a church to hear musical performances by young people who have turned their lives around thanks to the eXceL project charity.Kate is expected to give birth at the private maternity wing of St Mary's Hospital in London where she also had Prince George.http://www.mirror.co.uk/all-about/prince-george

media producers are unique
Film or video producers, scriptwriters, directors, costume designers, set designers and artists, camera persons and everyone involved in film production spend most of their time brainstorming on how they can best stimulate identification and projection.
Well, this might sound a little jargonish, if ever there is such a word, but briefly this is all about catering for the audience so that they can connect with your film and the cast, and relate with the story you are narrating.
We will all agree that the primary goal of a producer is to entertain. However, one has to sweat to achieve this. Unlike a consumer, the producer has to think of the nature of the film, thus the genre and the storyline, major in casting and also create a visual impact.
Sam Taylor-Johnson |
Being a media studies student who does a course by the name 'fundamentals of film and video production' i have been learning that production is all about maintaining good relations with your colleagues, hard work, cooperation, patience and creativity.
Sam Taylor-Johnsonhas officially ended her relationship with Fifty Shades of Grey. Johnson, the director of this adult romantic drama which stars Dakota Johnson, Jennifer Ehle, and Eloise Mumford will not direct its planned two sequels.
EW confirmed that Taylor-Johnson will not return to direct the second installment of the E.L. James’ bestselling-book series for Universal.
“Directing Fifty Shades of Grey has been an intense and incredible journey for which I am hugely grateful. I have Universal to thank for that. I forged close and lasting relationships with the cast, producers and crew and most especially, with Dakota and Jamie. While I will not be returning to direct the sequels, I wish nothing but success to whosoever takes on the exciting challenges of films two and three,” Taylor-Johnson said in a statement.
So even though leads Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are under option deals for the next film Universal will have to find a replacement to helm the next installment in the franchise.
Taylor-Johnson had cut certain scenes from the book for the film and reportedly had creative differences with writer James, which lead to some speculation she wouldn’t be returning.
Fifty Shades of Grey, being released in February 13, 2015 has already grossed over a half a billion at the worldwide box office.
The plot summarises Anastsia Steele, a literature student whose life changes forever after she meets a handsome, yet tormented, billionaire named Christian Grey....

How about tribute to fallen legends and unspoken talent?
Born and bred in Emakhandeni, Bulawayo, these youth shun being idle. They feel like they gotta use what they have and shine....indeed they are shining. for sure it does not take money for one to shine. You gotta use your God given talent, mind and hands to expose yourself and show the world what you are really capable of!
He wants a relationship with his daughter...So what about the mother?
Chris, Royalty and Nia |
As i write this article allow me to be a bit feministic.
I am going to admit that i am a bit emotional.
Right now many questions are popping up in my head.
What are relationships for? For now i will have to agree with someone who once said that relationships are complicated, nothing more, nothing less,
Think of it...someone impregnates you and then tells you that they will love their child to be near them and not you the mother of the child.
Are they not taking women as child bearing machines? well...i won't say more.
Now lets here what Nia Gunzman will have to say....
A lot of rappers run for the hills when they knock up some random chick, but Chris Brown wants to move that random chick to the hills ... the Hollywood Hills, so he can be close to his little girl.Chris got Nia Guzman, a 31-year-old Houston woman pregnant and now he's the proud dad of 9-month-old Royalty.
Chris has spent time with the baby since finding out he's the father, but it's difficult because Royalty is 1372 air miles away from Chris' L.A. home.
Sources connected with Chris say ... he's asked Nia to move to L.A. with their daughter and he'll foot the bill for housing.
He's not romantically involved with Nia, but we're told he genuinely wants a meaningful relationship with Royalty. He's saying he'd like to see her everyday.
Chris is in "negotiations" with Nia over support. He's paying her more than he's required to under the law, but he got pissed off when she started talking about their relationship and vowed to go to court where a judge would reduce the child support he's informally paying.
Chris has told Nia, if she moves to L.A. he won't pull the trigger on a child support court case and she'll continue getting the premium amount, in addition to a place to live.
Nia hasn't decided, but it sounds like a good deal.
